Fjærland is the area surrounding a branch of the Sognefjord, close to the Jostedalsbreen - the largest glacier on mainland Europe. It is easy access with car/bus to the glaciers. Here you also find the Norwegian Glacier Museum, the Norwegian Book Town and the distinctive Hotel Mundal, built in 1891.
The area around the Sognfjord offers you five stavecurches, two National Parks, the famous Flåm Railway and glacier walks on the glaciers Flatbreen in Fjærland and Nigardsbreen in Jostedal. Urnes stavechurch and the Nærøyfjord is on the World Heritage List.
