You start by boat from Balestrand and arrive Fjærland after approximately 1,5 h. There the glacier bus is ready to take you on a round trip in Fjærland. First stop is the Norwegian Glacier Museum, where you can touch real glacial ice, see the panorama film from the glacier, through a climate change evolution exhibition and visit the outdoors educational playground. Then the bus goes to the Bøyabreen glacier, where you also find a cafeteria and a souvenir shop called Brævasshytta. A bit later, the bus goes back to the pier in Mundal and here you will find the Norwegian Book Town which have a wide variety of second hand books. They have around 150.000 books, also many in English, German and French. There is also a cosy souvenir shop at Fjærland Guiding’s headquarter and a grocery store with a post office nearby - Joker Fjærland. Check out Fjærland Guiding for hikes or kayak rental. The church from 1861 is also open and there is a café in Mundal called Inkåleisn. If you are only interested in the bus, the ticket must be bought at the bus, the same as for the Glacier Museum.
